If you were to ask me what my favorite game in the series was, I’d say Dual Destinies, and one of the main reasons why is because of Turnabout Academy and it’s well casted characters. But in order for the plot to work out you have to look at the current stage of the Wright Anything Agency. They have 2 members currently, and one of them is usually busy. So obviously there needs to be a new member now that Apollo is gone. That’s where Hugh O’Connor comes in. In the ending scene of DD, Hugh says he’d become an attorney and join Athena, which if it were to happen, it’d be pretty cool. Not only that, but we really haven’t played as someone like Hugh. My main problem with Apollo is that he was no different than Phoenix, and what DD did good with Athena was creating a different personality. Hugh is cocky, smart, and has already been lied to and blindsided in his life. This makes for a new personality, and a fun character to play as. We usually see Phoenix and Apollo lose hope when stuff goes bad in cases, but Hugh would be hyping himself up in the scenario. And for prosecutors we already have Robin Newman to fit that role along with Gaspen Payne. Klavier can also be a prosecutor in the endgame. Juniper could be a judge, and maybe Gumshoe could make a reappearance. It makes a plot, and an interesting one. Now, for assistants, I had to think about that one. I ended up coming up with Myriam Scuttebutt. She could be the fourth member of the Wright Anything Agency, and Hugh’s first client/assistant. There are other characters like Marvin and Gregory, but their settings wouldn’t work because chances are that both of them are dead. Anyways, that’s my opinion, and Hugh O’Connor: Ace Attorney should be a thing.
