Victim: Gregory Edgeworth
Killer: Manfred von Karma
Suspect: Yanni Yogi
Verdict: Guilty (but walked free)
Witness/Second Suspect: Miles Edgeworth
What happened: Yanni Yogi and Gregory were in an argument and started fighting. In a desperate attempt to help, Miles threw a gun at his father so he could protect himself from Yogi. In the process, Miles accidentally pulled the trigger hitting Manfred von Karma in the shoulder. After that, Gregory almost got the gun but they all passed out because of lack of oxygen. Manfred later walked in the scene and saw the gun near Gregory’s hand, and assumed it was intentional. So as a result, Manfred picked up the gun and shot Gregory as a revenge scheme. Knowing that he would later be accused, he wiped off the fingerprints and left the scene without even visiting the doctor. To avoid suspicion and let it heal, he went on vacation where the wound recovered, leaving the bullet in his right shoulder. Manfred later became left handed and was proven guilty in Turnabout Goodbyes. He also wanted to kill Hammond who proved Yogi innocent, and had Yogi kill Hammond and frame Edgeworth, which didn’t work out for either of them.
