Disguised as Nayna.

Amara disguised herself as Nayna, a personal aide to her daughter, Rayfa, to protect herself from further assassination attempts, as well as to keep an eye on her daughter. With Ga'ran mostly busy with ruling the country, Amara in the guise of Nayna raised Rayfa. Amara would often come at Rayfa's request, and do mundane tasks such as removing her daughter's cloak and staff or informing her about certain subjects that the young girl had limited knowledge about.

 Reveal

Main article: Turnabout Revolution

In mid-May, Amara, as Nayna, was called as a witness, to testify about her actions during Inga Karkhuul Khura'in's death. During the trial, her cover was blown as she was forced to reveal her true self. Fearing for her daughter's reputation and safety, she tried to frame herself for Inga's death, but not only was that proven to be impossible but that the blackmail Ga'ran was using was based on false premises. Near the end of the trial, she was shot in the stomach, but survived the ordeal.

Name

  • "Amara" (Sanskrit: अमर) is a name meaning "immortal". This relates to the fact that she survived an attempt on her life twice (although the first time was not meant to kill her).
  • Her alias, Baaya (バアヤ) is a title meaning "granny."
  • Her English alias Nayna comes from her Japanese alias, in this case, it means "nanny".
