The audience room is where the Storyteller meets with those to whom he wishes to speak. Aside from the Storyteller himself, normally only High Inquisitor Darklaw is allowed inside this room.

The day after Espella Cantabella was cleared of killing two muggers, a knight told Hershel Layton that he had been summoned by the Storyteller to meet with him in his audience room. Upon arriving, Layton and his assistant, Luke Triton, found the door to the audience room locked with a puzzle. After solving it, the door opened and the pair met the mysterious Storyteller, who told them that they had no place in his stories.
