Azuki Kozo was the grandfather of Phineas Filch. Filch claimed that Kozo was a "noble" thief who robbed from the rich to give to the poor, leaving behind a statuette of himself as a calling card at the scene of his thefts. Kozo's grandson inherited his thieving ways, but apparently not his generosity, instead just being a petty pickpocket.
Name[]
- "Azuki Kozo" likely comes from the Azukiarai yōkai from Japanese folklore; even the character's appearance closely resembles traditional depictions of Azukiarai.
