A blackmail letter was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice's investigation into the murder of Rex Kyubi.
Threatening Tenma[]

As part of his plot to obtain the huge gold ingot known as "Tenma Taro", Florent L'Belle wrote a threatening blackmail letter to the mayor of Tenma Town, Damian Tenma. In the anonymous letter, he threatened the life of Damian's daughter, Jinxie, unless he agreed to merge Tenma Town with neighbouring Nine-Tails Vale.
However, the appearance and wild popularity of a wrestler called the Amazing Nine-Tails, who was secretly Damian, interfered with L'Belle's plan. After killing Rex Kyubi, alderman of Nine-Tails Vale, L'Belle took the letter from Tenma's briefcase and placed it in Kyubi's pocket, with the intention of making it seem that Tenma was threatening the life of Kyubi's hospitalized wife, with the aim once again of merging the two settlements.
