A bloodstained sheet was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Horace Knightley.
Knightley's murder[]

After Knightley was killed, Patricia Roland had decided to use Simon Keyes's device to move his body into the prison during the Animal Show. In order to prevent this path from being too obvious to the investigators, she used the sheet to prevent traces of blood from being left.
Later, Edgeworth found a stack of similar sheets in Workroom A and the bloodstained sheet on Knightley's body. He later deduced after figuring out that the weights in Simon's device were switched with the body that it had been used to prevent leaving traces of blood in the well.
