Brazil is a country in South America. It occupies nearly half of the continent's landmass and shares borders with every South American country except for Ecuador and Chile. With a land area of approximately 8.5 million km², Brazil is the fifth-largest country in the world by both land area and population. It has a diverse population of over 213 million people, making it the most populous country in South America.
Brazil's flag appears in the Gourd Lake Public Beach after Larry Butz decorates the area.
Brazilian fan-localization[]
In the Brazilian fan-translations of Ace Attorney games by Jacutem Sabão, the setting was changed to São Paulo, a Brazilian city with a sizable Japanese community. The names of nearly all of the characters were also localized to fit this setting (e.g., Phoenix Wright is named "Fênix Veríssimo"). Multiple changes were made to fit the Brazilian setting of the fan-localization.
These changes include:
- Cindy Stone travels to Mumbai, India for her photo shoot, rather than Paris
- The differing accent of Lotta Hart (named "Sheila Paixão" in the fan translation), speaks in Mineiro, a dialect of Portuguese spoken in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
- The phone booth in The Lost Turnabout is changed to an orelhão, which are public telephones commonly found in Brazil.
- Since the presence of snow in São Paulo is impossible, the snow in Turnabout Big Top is synthetic. Furthermore, the footprints are said to be caused from mud after raining.
- The impossibility of snow and earthquakes occurring around São Paulo for Bridge to the Turnabout is resolved by Sister Bikini's claims of paranormal influence in the area of Hazakura Temple.
