The bullet trajectory was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Bastian Rook.

Attempt on Wang's life

Edgeworth took notes on the trajectory of the bullets fired during the attempted assassination incident. He later handed these notes, along with the other evidence, to Bronco Knight temporarily, as President Wang meant for the Zheng Fa police to take over the investigation. However, after Edgeworth negotiated with Wang to return the investigative authority to him, Knight returned the notes along with the remaining evidence. It was later updated after Wang revealed that the flags had been fluttering wildly and obstructed his view. This caused Edgeworth to deduce that Knight shot the balloon.
