A bulletproof vest was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Bastian Rook.

The assassination attempt and Rook's murder

Prior to Di-Jun Wang's speech, Bronco Knight and Wang had come up with a fake assassination plan to boost Wang's approval ratings in Zheng Fa. In order to make it really seem as though Wang had survived the assassination attempt, the vest was prepared beforehand by embedding a bullet in it.

Edgeworth found the vest on the desk in the office in the presidential plane. He later handed it, along with the other evidence, to Knight temporarily, as President Wang meant for the Zheng Fa police to take over the investigation. However, after Edgeworth negotiated with Wang to return the investigative authority to him, Knight returned it along with the remaining evidence.
