A fake alibi[]

Main article: Turnabout Beginnings

Dahlia Hawthorne sought to stop her sister Valerie from meeting Fawles and admitting the truth behind an incident five years prior. She brought the camera to Dusky Bridge to set up an alibi so that she could murder Valerie and frame Fawles for the crime. Dahlia took multiple photos of herself in a nearby meadow, then set the camera on its mini-tripod, pointed toward the bridge and timed to go off at a specific moment. She disguised herself as Valerie and met Fawles, whose memory of Valerie was too faint to be able to recognize Dahlia. The resulting photo was submitted as evidence against Fawles when he was tried for the murder. Unfortunately for her, Fawles's attorney, Mia Fey, was able to use evidence to expose her ruse.
