Protagonists

This category lists the main player characters of the Ace Attorney games. The player controls each of these characters for at least one act of a game episode, in the sense of either the periods between save prompts or the act structure (e.g. "Investigation, Part 1").

Maya Fey, Lamiroir, and Dick Gumshoe are very briefly playable in Farewell, My Turnabout, Turnabout Succession, and The Captive Turnabout respectively, but not enough to be considered "protagonists". Similarly, a brief segment in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney sees the player leading an adventure section as Luke Triton, and Espella Cantabella is playable for selected puzzles, but neither serves as a long-term protagonist.
