:As well as all the applicable characters in ''Gyakuten Kenji 2''. To be honest, this category is unfinished and I'm not happy about the name. And then I just forgot about it. I think, unless anyone objects, I'll just create a new category called "Suspects", put all the ''AAI'' & ''GK2'' suspects into it, make "Defendants" a subcategory of it, and then tag this category for deletion. I might try and do that over the weekend. I'll give it a few days in case anyone else has any thoughts on the matter... - [[User:Strabo412|Strabo412]] ([[User talk:Strabo412|talk]]) 22:16, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

Difference from Defendants

Actually, before anyone asks:

While Defendants is about people put on trial in-universe, this category is meant for people a protagonist defends - as a result, it'll include also AAI suspects. - Sligneris (talk) 21:39, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

Defendants could be made a subcategory of Accused. That way we wouldn't have to have both on every defendant. capefeather (talk) 23:42, July 3, 2014 (UTC)
Hmm... Actually, I'm not sure. It makes sense in one way, but on the other hand, this category is significantly different in another way from Defendants - unlike that one, which describes people put on trial in-universe, this one is meant more as "character role" category, kinda like Villains, Protagonists, Partners or Rivals. - Sligneris (talk) 00:03, July 4, 2014 (UTC)
I dunno. It kind of seems like the Department of Redundancy Department to me. Perhaps we could use this category for AAI suspects and, as Capefeather suggested, make Defendants a subcategory of it? If you were wanting "character role" categories, perhaps something like a NavBox (e.g., Template:Episodes) might be better? Maybe it's just the category's name that doesn't quite work for me? I can't think of anything better though; I feel it would have to be something that's more "literary" (for lack of a better word), like Protagonists or Villains. - Strabo412 (talk) 12:36, July 4, 2014 (UTC)
Remember how I talked about making a new wiki? I'll probably withdraw from that idea, but I kinda did make a new one, as more of a sandbox for myself (yup, I need a whole wikia of a sandbox.) You see, I have another change to suggest.
So far, I've been planning on some overhauls of the Characters category, like portrayed here. Not sure how it will go, because implementing it, changing categories on basically all character pages ("Male/Female characters" to "Male/Female", "game title" to "shortened game title characters" for example, if we are to implement this exactly like this) will be a lot of work.
That, and I'm not even sure about that idea myself all that much, so here's that :P - Sligneris (talk) 13:38, July 4, 2014 (UTC)

If Accused is meant to be a "character role" from a literary perspective, then what does that mean for defendants of non-playable trials? As Strabo alluded to, the Protagonists and Rivals categories are unambiguously character roles rather than anything inside the storyline, while Accused seems to be broader than that. There are defense attorneys who are not protagonists, and prosecutors who are not rivals. capefeather (talk) 23:19, July 4, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, that's what I had the biggest problem with, and I think I still have - I wanted a way to call that kind of a character role, and "Accused" was best I could come up with... Do you perhaps have any other ideas?

Change of purpose

Since nothing further has been done with this category, I'm just to change its role to that of characters accused of a crime, but not to the point that they go to court. Basically the AAI version of defendants. - Strabo412 (talk) 22:04, February 22, 2015 (UTC)

Actually, maybe "suspects" might be better? - Strabo412 (talk) 22:14, February 22, 2015 (UTC)

Other AAI suspects?

Since this category is the AAI equivalent of defendants, it should probably include Maggey Byrde, Rhoda Teneiro, Mike Meekins, Lauren Paups, Kay Faraday and Larry Butz, since they are all falsely accused in that game. --Bluebully (talk) 20:24, November 27, 2015 (UTC)
