A clipboard was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice's investigation into the murder of Manov Mistree. It was used by the magician Trucy Wright to sign a contract with the Take-2 TV television company, which was to broadcast Wright's magic show "Trucy in Gramarye-Land". In reality, the clipboard had been rigged by Take-2 producer Roger Retinz to contain a hidden sheet of carbon paper which caused Wright to unknowingly sign a second, hidden contract inside it, requiring her to pay Retinz three million dollars if the show were canceled as a result of her actions.
Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes examined the clipboard during their investigation and figured out its secret.
The clipboard was also used to forge Trucy's Note, which Apollo proved its fabrication by comparing her apparent signature on that with a contract where they were both identical, which is impossible.
