A coffee mug was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright's investigation into the murder of Drew Misham.
A murderous mug?[]
- Main article: Turnabout Succession
During an interview with Spark Brushel, Drew Misham was served coffee by his daughter Vera, as she always did every night at 9:00 p.m. However, on that particular night, Drew died of atroquinine poisoning shortly after drinking the coffee. Vera was arrested for the murder, as it was thought that she had poisoned the beverage. It was later theorized she place atroquinine on the rim, as there was no atroquinine inside the mug or within the coffee itself.
However, although there were traces of the poison on the mug left after his death, the true source of the atroquinine was actually a seven-year-old stamp sent by Kristoph Gavin to keep Drew from talking about a forged diary page.
