Crime scene notes were a piece of evidence in Gregory Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Artie Frost. The notes contained a plethora of useful information gathered by Edgeworth on the case, including a photograph of Frost's corpse.

Edgeworth received the photograph from Detective Tyrell Badd. He later used it to deduce that someone else had cleared up a bloodstain from the crime scene. He later used it to prove that it had been the ship's fall that caused the chest's lid to break. He later used it to prove that the killer had actually left a Luminous Cloth at the scene, making prosecutor Manfred von Karma's claim that there would be no evidence pointing to a specific culprit at the crime scene false.
