Wright added it to the court record shortly after reading the DL-6 case file. He later used it to prove that there were two gunshots, as there were bullet holes in both the body and the door.

In the anime adaptation, the placement of Gregory's corpse and background are altered; particularly his body is next to the door and the elevator is solid wood with no windows or panels.
