The death of Clay Terran occurred in the morning of December 15, 2027. At the time of the scheduled launch of the HAT-2 rocket at the Cosmos Space Center, bombs went off on the rocket. Terran and his crewmate, Solomon Starbuck, escaped into Boarding Lounge 1, only for Terran to turn up dead with a Utility Knife in his chest. Starbuck was arrested and put on trial for the murder, with Terran's best friend, Apollo Justice, initially standing on the defense bench. This murder ended up pulling several key individuals from the UR-1 Incident into its orbit, including convict prosecutor Simon Blackquill and his sister Aura, and resulted in the first departure of Justice from the Wright Anything Agency.
