Detective Dick Gumshoe's fingerprints were a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murders of Byrne Faraday and Mack Rell.

Eating on the job[]

During guard duty, Detective Gumshoe and Kay Faraday bought Swiss rolls and ate them on the bench. While they were eating the rolls, the fingerprints were left by Gumshoe.

Edgeworth later found the fingerprints on the bench and had them clarified to be Detective Gumshoe's. He later used it to point out to the judge that Detective Gumshoe had in fact not disappeared from the hallway at all, but instead had sat down under a window, causing him to be invisible to the judge. Afterwards, it was used to prove that Detective Gumshoe had in fact been eating on the job.
