Upon Samson Tangaroa's announcement of his Great Dessert Contest, the Tangaroa Group sent Delicia Scone to ensure that the Ultimate Cookbook wasn't given to the public. However, due to lacking the expertise of a confectioner, Scone faked her entry by using plastic molds covered in fresh cream, even though the Contest Rules clearly stated that it was cheating. Judy Bound helped her get to the finals, as she wanted Scone to win so that Tangaroa wouldn't be scolded by the Tangaroa Group. The fake desserts were designed to be a fairytale castle surrounded with creatures. However, Scone didn't like cold temperatures and was unaware that fresh cream is to be preserved at 50 degrees Fahrenheit, causing her to keep the room too warm, which made the cream melt. Edgeworth later figured out that the desserts were fake when he noticed the castle could open and shut with no problem and Detective Badd stepped on melted cream. This, combined with other clues, showed that Scone was not a real confectioner.
