A fog machine was a piece of evidence in Phoenix Wright's investigation into the murder of Dumas Gloomsbury. It generates ambient fog-like vapor using dry ice for wedding receptions at the Flying Chapel's reception hall.
Murder in the fog[]
- Main article: Turnabout Time Traveler
When Gloomsbury was murdered on the Flying Chapel, Wright suggested that the fog machines might have been used to cool his body and thus obfuscate the time of death. While this theory turned out to be incorrect, the machines were later revealed to have played a crucial role in the murder, as the killer had taken advantage of the fog to murder Gloomsbury unseen during the wedding reception of Ellen Wyatt and Sorin Sprocket.
