A broken pair of glasses was a piece of evidence in the trial of Maggey Byrde for the murder of Dustin Prince. They were oval-shaped lenses with a blue frame, and were meant for 20/200 nearsightedness.

Richard Wellington pushed Prince over a ledge in Exposé Park. As Prince fell, he managed to grab Wellington's glasses, which were crushed underneath his body. Wellington looked for his glasses for 15 minutes before giving up and reporting the crime, framing Byrde for it. The police later found the glasses and mistook them for Byrde's, as they were around the same prescription and she had accidentally broken her first pair earlier that day.
In court, Wellington testified to witnessing the murder, mentioning a bunch of bananas that had fallen with him. Wright realized that Wellington had bad eyesight, and had mistaken a baseball glove for bananas.
