Godot contacts [[Iris Hawthorne]] and [[Misty Fey]], Maya's mother, telling them of the plan and asking for their assistance. Misty, an children's author, attempts to keep Pearl from carrying through with the plan by inviting her to story time, but Pearl goes anyway. She crosses a bridge to an island of sorts, where Maya is training. Following her mother's instructions, she attempts to channel Dahlia Hawthorne, who was executed a month ago. Dahlia, in Misty's body, finds Maya in a garden and attempts to kill her. Godot, however, possessed by hatred, runs her through with a sword. Maya then faints. Godot carries her indoors and cleans up the bloodied snow. Unable to see red, he is forced to shovel a large part of it, and not just the bloodied part. He tries to carry Misty's body over the bridge, but it had burnt down, so he swings her on a pendulum for Iris to recieve on the other side. Iris then sets it up to look as though the crime scene had been on that side. However, he cannot see the bloody "Maya" written on a stone lantern. Meanwhile, Maya calls her sister for advice. Following that advice, Maya locks herself in a channeling chamber and channels Dahlia to protect herself. Three days later, during the trial, "Iris" (who is actually her channeled twin) shows up to testify and says that Maya commited the crime. Phoenix uncovers her identity. Overcome with a desire for revenge, Godot helps Phoenix uncover her lies. Mia also shows up. The three of them force Dahlia into despair, and she flees Maya's body. Maya later testifies as well. Filled with gratitude for her life, she attempts to cover for Godot, but Phoenix digs up the truth. Godot finally realizes his mistakes, accepting that he had only been angry at "Mr. Trite" because he had needed someone to blame for Mia's death. In truth, he'd had problems forgiving himself. His soul at last in peace, he explains himself and refers to Phoenix as Mr. Wright for the first time. Phoenix is upset that he'd been unable to save Godot, but Mia says that he had saved him, in a way that had nothing to do with living or dying. The ending picture shows Godot standing happily with Mia and Misty, seperate from the living. |

Godot is the mysterious, coffee-loving prosecutor in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. From his first appearance and then on, he displays a grudge against Phoenix, purposefully calling him "Phoenix Trite."
Background
Godot was originally Diego Armando, a senior defense lawyer working at Grossberg Law Offices for the veteran defense attorney Marvin Grossberg. Back then he had black, spiky hair, and wore a red dress-shirt and black tie. He had no visor.

Mr. Armando was Mia's aide when she took on her first case, giving her advice as she went through. Near the end of the trial, their client Terry Fawles died on the stand as a result of drinking poison given to him by the real murderer, Dahlia Hawthorne. Angered by the outcome, Mr. Armando broke his mug of coffee and told Mia something very important: the only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over. Soon after the two started dating.
On August 27, 2012, Diego Armando sat with Dahlia Hawthorne to question her. Fearing that the lawyer was on to her, Dahlia slipped a special poison into Mr. Armando's cup of coffee. As a result of drinking the poisoned cup, Diego fell into a 4-year coma. The poison had damaged his central nervous system and caused him to go blind, and his hair turned white.
