The Great Tengu Society was a cult created by Princess Tengu that worshipped the "Great Lord Tengu" and claimed that its followers would eventually develop supernatural powers. It was dissolved after Phoenix Wright solved the murder of Casper Sly, a private detective who investigated the society's true nature as the source of Princess Tengu's funds for her extravagant lifestyle, and Princess Tengu was put under arrest after her role as Sly's murderer was exposed.
After the cult was dissolved, some of its members switched to worshipping Prosecutor Franziska von Karma and her whip after witnessing her intelligence and dominance in the courtroom, much to her displeasure.
