A handgun was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murders of Byrne Faraday and Mack Rell.
Second KG-8 incident[]
Deid Mann's murder.
Mack Rell used this handgun to kill Deid Mann, a staff member of the Cohdopian Embassy, after receiving a job to do so by Calisto Yew. However, Rell was caught on a security camera and was subsequently arrested.
Byrne Faraday brought the gun to court as evidence, as Yew had expected. During the recess, after Faraday had been accused of being the Yatagarasu, Rell and Faraday entered Defendant Lobby No. 2. Yew then came in, pretending to be worried about her client. She then killed Faraday with the Yatagarasu's Key, and then forced Rell to help her tamper with the crime scene. She then used the gun to kill him before tampering with the room further in order to make it appear that Faraday had killed Rell. Unaware that Faraday was left-handed, she placed the gun in his right hand.
During his investigation into the double murder, Miles Edgeworth found the gun in Faraday's hand. He eventually used it to disprove an argument by Franziska von Karma, who claimed that Faraday and Rell had attacked each other at close range, as the bullet that killed Rell was fired from only a few yards away. It was later used to prove that a third person had entered the room, as the contradiction with Faraday's dominant hand and the gun, alongside a plastic bag with Faraday's blood on it, proved there had been a third party in the room at the time of the murders.
Note[]
- The handgun appears to be based on a TT-33 Tokarev.
