A handgun was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murders of Byrne Faraday and Mack Rell.
The Second KG-8 incident[]
Mack Rell used this gun to kill Deid Mann, a staff member of the Cohdopian Embassy, as he was requested by Calisto Yew. However, Rell was caught on tape and arrested.
Murder of Mack Rell[]
Faraday brought the gun to court, as Yew had expected. During the recess, after Faraday had been accused of being the Yatagarasu, Rell and Faraday entered Defendant Lobby No. 2. Yew then came in, pretending to be worried about her client. She then killed Faraday with the Yatagarasu's Key, and then had Rell help her set up the scene. She then used the gun to kill him before setting up the scene in order to make it seem that Faraday had killed Rell. Not knowing that Faraday was left-handed, she placed the gun in his right hand.
Later, Edgeworth found the gun in at the crime scene in Faraday's hand. He eventually used it against Franziska von Karma, who claimed that Faraday and Rell had attacked each other at close range. Because the bullet that killed Rell was fired from a few yards away, they could not have attacked each other at close range, therefore disproving her theory. It was then used to prove that a third person had entered the room, as the contradiction with Faraday's dominant hand and the gun, alongside the plastic bag with Faraday's blood on it, proved there was a third person.
Note[]
- The handgun appears to be based on a TT-33 Tokarev.
