Juror No. 3
I don't like the stinking rich. Never have. They're always up to something or other that they shouldn't be. Every one of them. And that little leprechaun of a man is no exception. Well...he can't fool me!

An unnamed barber was juror number three in the trial of Magnus McGilded for the murder of Mason Milverton on an omnibus.

Megundal Jury

As part of McGilded's jury.

During the trial, the barber was the first juror to vote McGilded guilty along side the foreman, based on Bruce Fairplay's testimony about seeing the victim stabbed in his seat. However, during the summation examination, defense attorney Ryunosuke Naruhodo pointed out a contradiction between Fairplay's account and that of Beppo the omnibus driver, who claimed that McGilded had stabbed Milverton while he was collapsed on the floor. One of these instances of stabbing had to be impossible, as Milverton had only been stabbed a single time. This convinced the barber to reverse his decision, wanting the matter to be resolved. Later, the barber watched as Naruhodo found another contradiction: Fairplay claimed that he had seen McGilded's bloodstained hands, but his gloves from that time were only stained on one hand.

Near the end of the trial, Prosecutor Barok van Zieks claimed that the omnibus had somehow been tampered with, as the storage compartment under the seat on which McGilded had been sitting during the murder was supposed to be filled with Beppo's belongings and tools, but it was empty. The barber reversed his leaning once again upon learning of this. However, it eventually became clear that van Zieks was unable to substantiate his claims about evidence tampering, and, as such, the judge pronounced a not guilty verdict without the jury.

Personality[]

During McGilded's trial, the barber gave a strong impression of having a violent disposition, despite never really acting on it outside of threats. He almost constantly played with a knife, even licking the blade at times. He also seemed to enjoy "carnage", such as the chaotic environment of his fellow jurors voting guilty. Even his identification as a barber only came up when he threatened to shave off every hair on McGilded's head. The majority of his ire was directed at rich people like McGilded, which greatly contributed to him being the first to initially vote him guilty.
