- This article is about the piece of evidence in A Turnabout Forsaken. For similarly-named evidence, see Letter (disambiguation).
A letter was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Rosie Ringer.
Rosie Ringer's murder[]
After receiving a letter apparently from Kay Faraday, Ringer wrote her own letter and sent it back. Unbeknownst to her, she was actually communicating with Simeon Saint, who got her to seek revenge against Excelsius Winner for Alf Aldown's murder.
On the night of the murder, Saint brought Faraday to the Bigg Building to ensure that Edgeworth would investigate the murder that would soon ensue. However, when he flew to the top of the tower on his Lion Hot Air Balloon, he encountered Di-Jun Wang's body double there. The body double noticed him and fired a gun at him. In response, Saint crushed the body double with his balloon. Afterwards, he dropped Faraday off and left the letter on her. After she witnessed Ringer climb out and die, Faraday accidentally fell into the 51st floor storeroom, where Winner and Florence Niedler found her. Upon finding the letter, Winner wrongly assumed that Faraday and Ringer were in cahoots with each other, and had the letter left on Faraday in order to reinforce this illusion. He then had Niedler bring Faraday to Edgeworth's office, as she also had Edgeworth's business card on her.
Later, Edgeworth received the letter from Niedler.
