To get revenge from Miles Edgeworth, Manfred von Karma sent this letter, which contained instructions for killing Robert Hammond and framing Edgeworth for it, to Yanni Yogi. In the letter, there was a plan to call Edgeworth to talk about the DL-6 Incident and to impersonate Hammond after killing him to make it look like Edgeworth had shot Hammond in the boat. Von Karma sent the letter days before the statute of limitations for the murder of Edgeworth's father Gregory expired in order to get Edgeworth convicted of either the murder of Hammond or the murder of his father.

Wright found the letter in the caretaker's safe after the second trial after Maya Fey had Polly tell the password. After he showed it to Miles Edgeworth, Edgeworth concluded that the caretaker was Yanni Yogi and confessed his dreams about accidentally killing his father. Wright later showed it to Marvin Grossberg, who recognized the handwriting as belonging to von Karma. When Wright and Fey went to the Records Room, Wright then showed the letter to von Karma, who asked for it back. When Wright refused, von Karma used a stun gun to incapacitate him and take the letter by force.
