A lighter was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright's investigation into the murders of Clay Terran and Metis Cykes. Belonging to a mysterious international spy known only as "the phantom", it is actually a disguised handgun that fires .10 caliber bullets. Its true form is revealed by pressing the Earth emblem on the front.

The phantom brought this lighter/handgun with him when he sabotaged the Cosmos Space Center in December 2027. He later used it as forged evidence to frame Athena Cykes for the murder of Clay Terran.
