Margaret was a goat owned by Jean Greyerl's family that Greyerl herself considered her best friend growing up. Tragically, Greyerl seemingly accidentally turned her to gold when she was a child via the spell Goldor. In reality, Margaret had actually just been replaced with a gold statue of herself by the Shades. As it happened, there was a gold statue of a goat in Newton Belduke's basement study when Phoenix Wright investigated it.
