"Melancholic Folk" is a music track in Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Gambit that is used as a generic character theme for characters in emotional distress or have been wrongfully accused of murder. It is first used during Turnabout Trigger when Tabby Lloyd is accused of murder, while in The Captive Turnabout it is used for Simeon Saint for the same purpose, as well as when talking about his late friend. During Turnabout Legacy, the theme plays for Judy Bound and Samson Tangaroa, the former when she says that Tangaroa adopted her, and the latter when he appears after his interrogation. Finally, in Turnabout for the Ages, the theme plays for Verity Gavèlle when she says that Shaun Fenn has been kidnapped. It also plays before Simeon Saint's breakdown. It is part of the recurring "Folk" character theme tracks used throughout the Ace Attorney series.
