Ming Xi Ho was the former Vice President of Zheng Fa and an important figure in the trial of Julio Teresa for the murder of Jason Moore.

From VP to judge[]

Vice President Ming was a former leading official of the Zheng Fa government. When militia forces succeeded in their coup of his homeland, Ming was imprisoned after a kangaroo trial. With the help of the U.S. government, he fled to New York City, hid his true identity, and became a judge, hoping to upload justice where he could in the United States.

His son Julio Teresa and granddaughter Alison Teresa arrived shortly after him, finding employment at the Santana Club, owned by low-rate mobster Jason Moore, a thorn in the side of local police. Ming arrived at Santana when Tyrell Badd wanted a warrant for a raid. When he saw Julio was the guitarist for Santana, Ming refused the warrant in order to protect Julio.

When Moore attempted to traffic Alison, Julio planned to shoot him, only for Ming to return to the club in time to stop him. When Moore realized who Ming was, he planned to blackmail the judge, resulting in Ming shooting the gangster instead. As he died, Moore painted "JU" in his own blood on the floor; assuming it meant "Julio", the police arrested him and put him on trial.

Ming ensured he was the presiding judge in Julio's trial. He also surveyed the crime scene, developing a bond with Miles Edgeworth in the process and revealing his cynicism of the justice system from his personal experiences in Zheng-Fa. However, this led to Edgeworth realizing Ming was the shooter. He presented a family photo showing Ming without his fake wig and beard in the trial, and proved the bloody message was meant to spell out "JUDGE". Ming took off his disguise and bitterly confessed. As he was in the presence of his family, he hugged them and bid them goodbye, as well as thanked Edgeworth for helping him believe in justice again.
