Monster's footprints were a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into Di-Jun Huang's murder.

Patricia Roland asked Blaise Debeste to dig up Di-Jun Huang's body before it could be found. The body was located at the former site of the Happy Family Home, near what was now a parking lot being used by Global Studios for a film about Moozilla. As Roland had only told him that it was in front of a flowerbed, Blaise broke the pavement where all three flowerbeds used to be using a mallet and shovel. However, before he could leave the lot with the body, John Marsh arrived for a late-night practice session. Blaise hid in a Moozilla costume, making his escape when Marsh left to accept a call from his mother. During this time, Simon Keyes placed the body of Huang's body double in one of the three areas that Debeste had exposed. Marsh found the body but did not report it due to fearing that an accident earlier that night had resulted in Huang's death.

Penny Nichols and Lotta Hart discovered the scene the next day, with Hart being convinced that Moozilla was real and had stepped on Huang, leaving three footprints behind. Edgeworth examined the ground under Huang's body, but could not reach any conclusions until much later.
