Mr. Knight's body was a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Bronco Knight.
Knight's murder[]
Edgeworth took the notes while examining the body. He later used the notes to prove that Rocco Carcerato could not have heard the victim scream, as Knight died from a stab to the throat. This eventually revealed that Carcerato had not been in his cell, since he never heard the scream.
Later on, while questioning Frank Sahwit about the discovery of the body, Edgeworth used it to reveal that Sahwit could not have seen the snowflake design on Knight's ring, as the ring was already covered by a sheet. This eventually allowed him to discover that Sahwit's bracelet was broken.
Later on, he used it to link Carcerato's escape tunnel to the crime, as a sweet scent was common between the body and the tunnel. Afterwards, it was used to help deduce that the body was switched with the weights in Simeon's device. Later on, after Missile detected a sweet scent on warden Fifi Laguarde, Edgeworth used it to prove that Laguarde was the killer.
