Genshin Asogi's ring was evidence in the trial of Genshin Asogi for the murder of the five victims and in the trial of Barok van Zieks for the murder of Tobias Gregson. It was the ring "found" in Klint van Zieks's stomach during his autopsy.

Prior to the autopsy, Gregson hired some thugs and attacked Genshin and Barok van Zieks while they were strolling during the night. During the struggle, they stole Genshin's ring.
Gregson then gave the ring to coroner John Wilson, who then implanted it on the victim's stomach and pretended to find it on Lord Chief Justice Mael Stronghart's instructions. When questioned by Yujin Mikotoba about why the ring would be inside Klint's stomach despite the high potential for organ abrasion, Wilson brushed it aside as being methodically explainable in a number of ways.
After the ring was "found", Genshin was subsequently arrested. It was later used as fabricated evidence in his trial.
