While she and Tyrell Badd were in Defendant Lobby No. 1, she spilled some of the perfume on the floor. Because of this, Detective Badd opened a window, allowing the perfume to escape and cementing Yew's alibi. She also forced one on Badd, who later gave it to Edgeworth. Edgeworth later used it to point out that Yew had intentionally spilled it to make Badd open a window in order to give herself an alibi. While running off, she dropped the bottle.

Kay Faraday kept the perfume bottle safe for the seven years since her father died, due to learning that the fingerprints on it could be preserved for decades under the right conditions. She eventually gave it to Edgeworth to help him in tracking down Yew because it has her fingerprints. He later used it to prove that Interpol agent Shih-na was Calisto Yew by pointing out they can do a fingerprint analysis on the bottle and Shih-na. Afterwards, he removed it from his organizer.
