You have been warned!

Nash Skulkin was an "average Joe" living in London during Ryunosuke Naruhodo's time in the city.

Early Life[]

Nash and Ringo Skulkin were friends with Ashley Graydon (Born Ashley Milverton), who was very, very poor. They had a milk business.

 The brother witnesses[]

Main article: The Adventure of the Unspeakable Story

Nash and Ringo were both called upon by Graydon to rob Windibank’s, although this was mainly a ploy so that Graydon could steal the a music box disc holding government secrets.

During the robbery they were discovered and were attacked by Pop Windibank, but group was able to repel him (with Graydon killing Pop as he made his escape). But Ringo and Nash were found by Ryunosuke Naruhodo, Susato Mikotoba, and Herlock Sholmes. The brothers shot Sholmes in order to escape but were soon apprehended by the police.

Ringo and Nash would serve as witnesses in the trial of Pop Windibank, trying—and failing—to get Tobias Gregson to join them and to frame Gina Lestrade for the murder.

  • Japanese - Nemmy Tinpiller (ネミー・ティンピラー, Nemī Tinpirā):
    • His Japanese name "Nemmy" (ネミー) may come from the Japanese word "nemui" (眠い), meaning "tired".
    • His Japanese surname "Tinpiller" (ティンピラー) comes from the Japanese word "chinpira" (チンピラ), meaning "hoodlum".
  • English - Nash Skulkin:
    • His English name "Nash" is likely a play on "nashi", the Japanese word for pear, referencing his head shape, green clothes, and love of pears.
    • His English surname "Skulkin" is a play on "skulking", and may reference his skull-shaped pin and the skull on the back of his jacket as well.

The designs of Nash and Ringo are themed based on a pear and an apple. This may be a reference to a famous phrase of Cockney rhyming slang, a form of slang used by residents of the East End. "Apples and pears" means "stairs". The theming is even more obvious in early designs. The brothers are also frequently compared to Luigi and Mario due to various factors such as the similar colour schemes, and Nash being the taller and younger of the two while having a smoother, more distinct, and pointed mustache.
