A Nine-Tails flower was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice's investigation into the murder of Rex Kyubi.
Giving Jinxie courage[]
Nine-Tails flowers only grow in Nine-Tails Vale. They were the favorite flowers of Damian Tenma's late wife. His daughter Jinxie Tenma's courage was boosted whenever she saw them. Soon after Rex Kyubi was killed, Jinxie first introduced them to Apollo Justice while explaining why she came to Nine-Tails Vale.
During the trial the next day, Justice noticed in the Mood Matrix that Jinxie had less fear. Remembering the flower from yesterday, Justice pointed it out and Jinxie remembered that there was a briefcase with the same flower on it. It contained the master key to Kyubi Manor, making Damian look even guiltier in the alderman's murder.
Later that day, Justice gave the flowers to Trucy Wright, who put it in her magic panties, along with the TV Listings and Tenma Taro Warding Charm, and made them disappear.
