Norma DePlume is a nonfiction writer. She is famous for her work, "The Killer Killer Whale". She was badly injured during an interview once, and has since then been terrified of blood.

A few months after the events of 'Turnabout Reclaimed', another one of her works, "Shipshape Aquarium: Don't Pull the Plug" was completed and released to the public. Norma then revealed that she helped Dr. Crab with the approval of the TORPEDO system and that she was currently writing another book entitled "Sniper: The Penguin Leaves the Nest" (thus bothering Dr. Crab every day to "study" Sniper).

Name

UratoriMugshot

Norma DePlume's mugshot.

  • "Uratori" contains the word "ura", which means "inlet".
  • "Reika" comes from "reika" (零下/冷夏), which means "below zero degrees Celsius" and "cool summer", respectively.
  • Her English name comes from the phrase "nom de plume", meaning a fictitious name used by an author when writing. Also, "Norma" is a play on "normal", which relates to her profession. Several of her animations are also based off of famous pictures of Marilyn Monroe (whose real first name was Norma).
  • It may not be the intention, but should be noted "DePlume" sounds similar to "Dubloon," fitting the pirate theme of the case as well as her high opinion of herself.
