Stone went to Paris, France and returned on July 30, 2016. She was murdered the next day. Her passport was used by Phoenix Wright during Butz's trial for her murder to prove that her clock was running nine hours ahead on the day of the murder. The reason for this was that the victim had not set the clock back to local time after returning from her trip. This proved to be the final piece of evidence needed to prove Butz's innocence and the guilt of Frank Sahwit.
