Masaharu Kiyoki was a politician and a witness in one of Apollo Justice's cases-as well as the plaintiff in a civil lawsuit against Druk Sahdmadhi. He forced Phoenix Wright to serve as the opposing attorney against Justice, using his political influence and threatening Wright with Maya Fey's safety. Before the events of Turnabout Revolution, he was running for the position of local assemblyman of Kurain Village.

Name

• Kiyoki (清き) means "proper" or "clean". The name Masaharu can also be read as seiji (政治), meaning "politics," referring to his profession.

Note

Kiyoki is one of only four characters in the Ace Attorney series to have a known birth date. The only other characters to have a known birth date are Dustin Prince, an unseen and unnamed relative of one of Shi-Long Lang's subordinates, and Rayfa Padma Khura'in.
