Rick Steam is a car attendant aboard Avery Richman's luxury express train, the Silver Star.
Name
- "Rick" is a diminutive form of "Richard", meaning "strong ruler", which coincides with his views of Avery Richman as his "king". It is also the same as the character Rick from Dino Crisis, a Capcom video game co-designed by Shu Takumi, with whom he shares a similar design.
- "Steam" comes from "steam locomotive", which the train he serves aboard is modeled after.
