Security monitors were a piece of evidence in Miles Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Bastian Rook.
Rook's murder[]
Shortly after Rook, Bronco Knight, and President Di-Jun Wang had fled into the presidential plane after an "attempted assassination" Knight had planned, Wang hid in his room, since he hated the sound of gunshots and couldn't bear them. Seeing an opportunity to dethrone Rook and become the bodyguards' leader, Knight shot Rook with his revolver. However, the bullet passed through Rook's body and hit one of the security monitors. Knight then took the broken security monitor and hid it inside the plane.
Later on, Edgeworth found the security monitors alongside a Taurusaurus Plushie in the plane. He later handed his notes on them, along with the other evidence, to Knight temporarily, as President Wang meant for the Zheng Fa police to take over the investigation. However, after Edgeworth negotiated with Wang to return the investigative authority to him, Knight returned the notes along with the remaining evidence. He later used the notes to determine that the bullet that killed Rook hit the missing monitor. This was shortly proven true after said bullet was found in the said monitor.
