A photo of semifinal desserts were a piece of evidence in Gregory Edgeworth's investigation into the murder of Artie Frost.
Contents[]
The photo depicts dessert entries for Frost, Delicia Scone, and Carmelo Gusto for the semifinals of Samson Tangaroa's Great Dessert Contest. Scone's entry is a cake shaped like a fancy white pot filled with pink roses, with chocolate butterflies. Frost's entry is a white unicorn with an orange mane and tail surrounded by pink and red roses, and different colored lupines. Gusto's entry is a phoenix on a rock surrounded by pink and red roses, and different colored lupines.
Similar desserts[]
Tangaroa took the photo before tasting the desserts, and noted that Gusto's and Frost's entries tasted the same and looked very similar. This was because Gusto and Frost secretly had a partnership in which the former would prepare the ingredients for both desserts and the latter would handle their designs. Their desserts were made with the same recipe, tasted exactly the same, and had similarities in design. This was in violation of Rule III of the contest, forbidding contestants from entering each other's rooms before judging. The photo was later given to Gregory Edgeworth by Judy Bound. He confronted Prosecutor Manfred von Karma soon afterward, suggesting that Gusto and Frost had collaborated. However, it turned out that Gusto had already admitted to von Karma about the forbidden partnership.
