TEPPEN (stylized as TEPPƎN) is a free-to-play digital collectible card game featuring crossovers between numerous franchises belonging to Capcom. There are currently two expansions primarily focusing on the Ace Attorney franchise ("Ace vs. The People" and "Turnabout Festival"), with another five featuring characters or other elements from the series ("Super Spooky Village", "The Daymare Diary", "THE BEAUTIFUL 8", "いくぜ青春！熱血学園 Schoolyard Royale", and "The Desperate Jailbreak").

Gameplay[]

The game is a 1v1 card game where the aim is to reduce the opponent's health points to zero before they can do the same.

Ace Attorney[]

"Ace vs. The People"[]

The ninth expansion for TEPPEN and the first to introduce Ace Attorney to the game. It was first announced during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #7 broadcast on April 16, 2021 and released on April 30, 2021 via the Version 3.2 Update.

The cards are themed around Phoenix Wright defending Larry Butz after the latter is accused of destroying a statue of Mayor Cody Travers; characters appear as they did during the time period of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. During the expansion's debut, a promotional campaign was run where players had to determine the true culprit via clues hidden in card art and flavor text.

As part of the expansion, Phoenix Wright was added as a Hero Skin for Chun-Li, debuting in the TEPPEN SPECIAL PACK 8 on May 21, 2021.

"Super Spooky Village"[]

The sixteenth expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on June 24, 2022 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #13 broadcast and released on July 1, 2022 via the Version 4.3 Update.

Although primarily featuring characters from the Ghosts 'n Goblins series and Resident Evil Village, cards of characters from the Berry Big Circus are also included, where in-universe they are part of the "White Cat Circus" (headed by Felicia from Darkstalkers), which is visiting the eponymous village.

"Turnabout Festival"[]

The twentieth expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on February 24, 2023 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #16 broadcast and released on March 1, 2023 via the Version 5.1 Update.

The cards in the expansion are heavily themed around characters from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, with Apollo Justice attempting to determine the truth behind the zombification of Yoshimoto Imagawa's dog and clear Trucy Wright's name.

"The Daymare Diary"[]

The twenty-third expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on August 25, 2023 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #19 broadcast and released on September 1, 2023.

The expansion's narrative concerns Sherry Birkin, who finds herself trapped in a nightmare world after reading a picture diary. It primarily features characters from Resident Evil 2 and the Monster Hunter series, although Dahlia Hawthorne makes an appearance as one of the denizens of Birkin's waking nightmare world.

"THE BEAUTIFUL 8"[]

The twenty-fourth expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on October 27, 2023 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #20 broadcast and released on November 1, 2023.

After the theft of the Kinship Stone, Ena recruits an all-female team to infiltrate Salazar Castle's auction house and recover the precious stone. The expansion primarily features characters from the Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter series, although Wendy Oldbag appears as one of the titular "Beautiful 8", Larry Butz is a security guard, and Redd White and April May appear as bidders in the auction.

"いくぜ青春！熱血学園 Schoolyard Royale"[]

The twenty-sixth expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on March 22, 2024 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #22 broadcast and released on April 1, 2024. The full title translated into English is "Let's Go, Youth! Nekketsu Academy Schoolyard Royale".

While primarily themed around the Rival Schools series, Maya Fey, the Steel Samurai, and Missile all also appear as residents of Nekketsu High School.

"The Desperate Jailbreak"[]

The twenty-seventh expansion for TEPPEN; it was officially announced on June 21, 2024 during the TEPPEN HEADLINE #23 broadcast and released on July 1, 2024.

The expansion's narrative concerns Nero being falsely arrested and imprisoned, with Felyne arriving to help him escape. Features Moe, Regina Berry, Max Galactica, and Furio Tigre from the Ace Attorney series.
