High school student[]

I'm not sure whether or not this was mentioned on this wiki or not but I am seriously confused about how Hugh is still allowed to be a student when he's 25. I looked up how many years a student can get held back and found out that in Japan had banned grade retention and while available in the U.S. And Canada most schools refuse to retain a student more than once in a single grade, or more than two or three years across all grades. And most of the time with older students, retention is usually restricted to the specific classes that the student failed, so that a student can be, for example, promoted in a math class but retained in a language class. So I have to ask, how much did Hugh fail to get held back 7 times and how rich are his parents to keep him in school?! Franzyfan1998 (talk) 03:55, August 26, 2015 (UTC)

Height discrepancy[]

The guidebook says he's 179cm, i.e. 5'11", but in the game he says he's 6'1". Which one are we calling canon? Does anyone know if there's an equivalent line in the Japanese version, and if so, what does he say his height is? 2.99.149.135 22:23, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

Google seems to say that it's 5'9. Anyway, I don't know what the Japanese version says, but I suspect he claims to be 179 cm tall like the guidebook says. On the other hand, perhaps the guidebook was supposed to reveal a lie? Assuming that that's not the case, both figures should probably be given. It's possible that the localizers messed up the conversion, but it's still worth noting. capefeather (talk) 16:53, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Now I'm confused! And the Japanese states it's 186cm Franzyfan1998 (talk) 23:17, June 12, 2014 (UTC)

You're a goner[]

Does anyone know what the mix-up with his name was in the Japanese version? I think it would be interesting to mention on the page. --Bluebully (talk) 16:35, December 9, 2015 (UTC)

(Updating) Hmm, from what I can see here, the tape recorder in the Japanese version (skip to 4:35 on the video) said "殺してやる!" (Koroshite yaru!, which apparently means something like "I'll kill you!"), and Athena mistakes it for "コラ! 静矢 零!" (Kora! Shizuya Rei!, the last part being Hugh's Japanese name - skip to the judge's line at 53:10). My Japanese is very limited, though, so I'll just leave this comment here until someone can clarify it. Age of Consent[]

Hey! If Hugh is 25 years old and Junie is 18, then shouldn't we add something about minor relationships to his page like we did with Regina Berry and Terry Fawles? Whitehorse24 (talk) 14:41, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

You're just being as ridiculous as Hugh's claim of a body double on this one. Even with varying localities' different legal settings, nowhere in Japan or in the USA would frown on a mere seven-year gap between consenting adults, Juniper fitting the definition of adult in these definitions of the law (nowhere in either Japan or the USA sets age of consent higher than 18). Although the age gap here is bigger than Terry vs. Dahlia and Max vs. Regina, the fact that the younger of the two parties in this case is not officially a minor means age of consent is a non-issue here. 76.92.140.207 04:58, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Along with this, something else worth noting as well is that Hugh and Juniper weren't actually in a relationship, and when they were rumored to be, most people thought Hugh was 18, the same age as her. PeriwinkleDreams (talk) 06:10, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I'm sorry about that. I was just making sure. Whitehorse24 (talk) 15:08, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
