Watson

At the start of the newest trailer (04/15), it seems as if it's John Watson who's narrating. Additionally, a character who fits the standard image of the character can be seen during this "drawn" narrated section watching Holmes playing the violin. I at first thought that this might indicate that Iris Watson is somehow a relative of Dr. Watson, rather than a complete replacement. However, the Holmes in the aforementioned scene is also of the more standard image of the character. I'm now entirely confused. Maybe it's just a stylistic choice? Maybe they're trying to indicate that the Holmes and Watson who appear in DGS are the "real" ones and that Arthur Conan Doyle changed them? Hmmm... - Strabo412 (talk) 18:05, April 2, 2015 (UTC)

John Watson is the first case's victim so probably not. --Doggieboy9 (talk) 23:58, May 27, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah. I already figured that out. - Strabo412 (talk) 08:43, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

About the usage of "racist terminology"

This is just an FYI to inform people, but do feel free to leave any reply too, if you have a counterargument (also this is my first time editing on this particular wiki although I visit a lot, but I wanted to talk about this topic all the same). If you look at the history of this page, this was already debated before. As was discussed then, Dai Gyakuten Saiban has these accurate depictions of casual racism from the past in it. Iris casually refers to them by that word which nowadays is considered racist a lot. This wiki's purpose as is the purpose of every wiki on Fandom is to be as accurate to the source material and portray the purpose of the source material as accurately as possible and censoring all the racism from the game and pretending it doesn't exist would defeat the point of that.

As shown via the page history, originally, the use of the racist word was not in quotations. The compromise that was come to was to keep the usage of the word, but to put it in quotations, so as to make it clear that it is quoted from in-game, and not the wiki's own choice of wording. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify this issue before things potentially got out of hand, what with with my edit and putting it back in. Kinderwiser5000 (talk) 21:34, April 2, 2020 (UTC)
