Only series killing? Edit

<p />

I'm assuming that you're referring to your previous edit of this page where you put in that this was the only serial killing in the series. I felt that this was debatable, since Dahlia Hawthorne could be considered a serial killer. She did, after all, kill two people and planned to kill another five... Yeah but she only killed two people so wouldn't her crime be classed as a double homicide and not a serial killing...? Also, the legal defination of a serial killer is "someone who has killed three or more people in the space of over a month." Those who have killed three or more in less then a month are legally classed as a "mass-murderer"...wrightfront 01:06, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, wouldn't Joe Darke be classified as a spree killer? He killed several people within a very short period. capefeather 01:36, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Is it ever said that he killed his victim within a short time period...? I know Gumshoe says that most of his victim where witnesses to his other crimes who he killed out of nessesery but that dosen't mean he killed then straight away...maybe for example he search out where all the witnesses lived and THEN killed them. In fact on that matter, didn't they also say that the team who investigated the killings "where getting desprete after they where turning up no leads after so long investigating"...? If this is so, and we think about what Gumshoe said about how after his last killing he turned himself in, then it's very likely that my theory is in fact true...They could have found the first few victim's then over time, Joe found the witnesses, killed them and turned himself in through guilt...Thinking logically and considering all the facts...*Desk slam* This is the only logical conclusion you can come up with! *Figure point*...wrightfront 01:45, December 31 2011 (UTC)

Does anyone know if the names of the other victims have any particular meaning? Staff perhaps? Strabo412 22:00, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

Inaccurate information/assumptions about SL-9 Edit

A lot of the notions about SL-9 and Joe Darke as presented on here seem to be based on assumption, or based on inaccurate information. The idea that the SL-9 was not a serial-killing from what I can tell seems to be based on faulty assumptions regarding information given by Gumshoe. For one thing the circumstances of the killings weren't "conjecture until Darke turned himself in". Gumshoe says it "is conjecture", empathize on the is. Just above a previous user "wrightfront" made a perfectly valid point regarding the inaccuracy in assuming the killings occurred one after another, yet this point seems to have been ignored (granted the roleplay-esque presention of their point didn't exactly make it easy to take seriously however I still believe he/she had a perfectly good point). Namely with how, according to Gumshoe he turned himself in after his last killing yet the police were chasing the killer for half a year. I just think this and relating pages deserve a clean up to make them less assumptively. Judge-lollies (talk) 12:52, June 12, 2017 (UTC)
