Yasumasa Kitagawa
I had many failed attempts at creating something that probably portrayed the feel of the era in which the game is set. This version that was used in the end was actually the first one I wrote. That happens a lot in game development.

"The Adventure of the Great Beginning" is the track in The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures that is used during the introductory cutscene of The Adventure of the Great Departure. This was the first of many attempts by Yasumasa Kitagawa to convey the feel of Meiji-era Japan. Another attempted composition emphasized "an elegant, refined feel," but was purportedly dropped for going too far in that direction; this alternate composition is available in the Special Contents of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
