The day after Edgeworth's acquittal, Phoenix Wright woke up at 5 in the morning from what appeared to be a hangover in his own office. After waking up, Wright found a letter from Fey. In it, she lamented how she wanted to help Edgeworth in his trial but felt useless in her own presence. Due to this, Fey decided to go back to her hometown to continue her training and become a full-fledged spirit medium. Fey couldn't tell this to Wright in person, so she wrote goodbye with her letter. After reading the letter, Wright immediately headed to the train station just in time to meet Fey. Wright assured Fey that he couldn't have saved Edgeworth without her help, and presented her the DL-6 Bullet that she took from Manfred von Karma when he thought he had taken all the evidence from the DL-6 Incident with him, which ended up being the final piece of evidence needed to convict von Karma for good. After Fey was presented with this, she vowed that she would return to Los Angeles after her training was done. Finally, Fey boarded the train to Kurain Village.
